Transparently Manage eWaste Disposal

As major consumers of technology, government entities generate a substantial volume of electronic waste. However, their approach to IT equipment disposal often presents challenges. Equipment is frequently used beyond its viable lifespan, eliminating potential residual value contained in the equipment.

Stringent procurement procedures further complicate the adoption of proper service providers.

Some government departments opt for auctions to achieve transparency and fair market value in asset disposal. However, this process lacks effective monitoring of ewaste disposal, leading to conflicts with environmental and data protection & privacy compliance.

To ensure sustainable reporting, government entities should prioritize good governance, appointing accredited service providers capable of consistent ESG impact reporting.
