Xperien has announced that Blancco Technology Group has launched its Drive Eraser solution on the AWS Marketplace. This is the only pureplay data erasure solution currently available within AWS and it enables customers and partners to realise the benefits of secure cloud transformation.
Blancco’s Drive Eraser will help cloud migration projects achieve better scale, pricing and compliance as they decommission on-premise assets in their journey to AWS. Blancco will provide auditable and tamper-proof certification reports, prior to removing any physical IT assets, for every asset that is decommissioned during the datacentre migration.
Xperien ITAD expert Bridgette Vermaak says companies could incur regulatory penalties if data is breached when failing to erase data properly on end-of-life electronics. "More and more companies are now migrating to the cloud and it is critical that they have the correct tools to sanitise data on decommissioned assets, to mitigate any potential compliance failures through data breach."
With the availability of Blancco’s Drive Eraser solution on AWS, customers can now easily take advantage of the seamless Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) integration that is synonymous with AWS. The inclusion of these services within the AWS Marketplace will guarantee the highest standard and best practice for data management.

Erase servers in rack using a simple laptop setup and continue the erasure offline, with the ability to erase servers in different areas, rooms or locations simultaneously. Blancco Drive Eraser supports more than 60 server platforms including HP Proliant (DL series, all generations), Dell PowerEdge (R series), Oracle Sun x86 (Sun Fire X series) servers and more.
